U.S. Announces New Missile Defense System To Counter Threats From Russia, China

The United States has announced the deployment of a new missile defense system in Alaska in order to counter potential threats from Russia and China. The $1.5 billion system will be able to shoot down intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and nuclear warheads.
