Wednesday 20 Sept 06: I'm AWAKE!
Just posted a little bit of follow up here. But any more updates will be posted here. Thank you all for making use of this post. My mundane little life finally regained its purpose! Any news agencies would like to hire this amateur reporter?

UPDATES:
  • Sondhi is gonna be holding a conference to make things clear with the press and all diplomats.
  • Thaksin is landing in Singapore instead. Man I was gonna shop there after exams..
  • Locals, avoid all official buildings.
  • Officials are coming out, press going in.
  • The old guy is on TV again. Updating people about the conference.
  • Shit! They wanna control the Communications. According to their 5th policy, they want to stop and destroy all communication channels that could affect the reform. Blogs too??
  • The pretty one is listing all the names of people who are in charge of the new temp "government".
  • I'm hungry. I haven't showered or brushed my teeth yet. Back to my life for a moment. BRB.
  • Agaisnt the Coup, For the Constitution. They're just taking down Thaksin's one only isn't it? Not the WHOLE Democracy.. New Yorkers, what are you rooting for? A whole new start for Thailand or the degrading old government? I dunno who I am rooting for as I don't really give a flying fish about politics. Just wanna see how all this unfolds and whether I should be moving country.
  • Reporting via Flickr
  • Yummm.. Khao Pad Kra Pao Gai with Khai Dao. My Bird Flue favourite.
  • King music videos are up again. Where are the news?
  • Is it safe to go shopping? I have a sudden urge to buy something. It's just more exciting.
  • Farangs (UK US Aus) are warned not to come here. What about those already living here?
  • The King and the Coups.
  • Bloomberg updates with Sondhi's statements. 1 | 2

  • Long lost friend asked on MSN: "Hey Kitty how are ya??"
Me: "Great! Country is breaking but great!"
  • Thaksin where you at? Phillippines? Singapore? London? Anywhere but here I guess.
  • I'm bored. So I photoshopped myself.

  • Current online updates are all about the finance, economics, and stocks affected by the coup. Sorry. Thought my politics wisdom was bad, these are totally beyond me.
  • การบินไทย Thai Airways operating normally. Should I book a flight??

  • I don't get the signal cut thing. What they are trying to do is not letting the locals see how the story is being reported to the world? Shouldn't it be the other way around if they're going to censor something about all this?

  • What's in store for Thaksin? He said nothing is being done. Yet.
  • The only truth is from the Statements. Hmm..

  • Ministry of Information and Communication Technology is now in charge of the internet. You are now all forbidden to post political comments on public forums. Future of Thai bloggers however is still unknown. Mine's pink with loads of cute little hearts, might soften them.
  • OK just in case any blogs get masked by some green censorship page, you know those blocking porn sites? (How the hell do I know that??) It's recommended to refresh a few times and it will be gone.

Sigh. Whatever happens to free speech? Oh yeah, no more constitution.

Quite a big list of updates.. It is the first coup attempt in 15 years in a country where they used to be commonplace. There were 17 of them between 1932 and 1991.
